If you are trying to quite smoking I wanted to talk about the smoke remedy process that worked for me. After about 18 years of smoking and  about 8  failed attempts at quitting smoking I finally kicked the habit. My Smoke Remedy was a combination of many things. There is no magical “quit smoking tip” or Easy Stop Smoking pill. To really quit smoking you need:

Tip #1 – Mind over matter. Believe in yourself. If you have any doubt in yourself it is just a thought. the human mind can be manipulated. Just believe in yourself, then along with some products and moral support you can quit. If I did it so can you.

Tip #2- Why do you want to quit? Write down the reasons why you want to quit. Then post this somewhere you can see it on a daily basis. This will be a constant reminder of your end GOAL. This is a huge part of the smoke remedy. Ultimately you want to quit smoking because………

  • you want to be healthy
  • you want to stop stinking like an ashtray
  • because you don’t want your kids to smoke
  • because your wife or husband wants you to
  • you don’t want lung or smoking related cancer

Whatever your reason, it must be strong and something you will remember as being the reason you want to quit smoking. After following these simple steps you can and will quit smoking just like I did.

Tip #3- Tell Your Friends and Family You are Quitting. Nobody wants you to quit a bad habit more than the people that care for you. When I told my peeps that I wanted to quit smoking they all were very supportive, asked me how I was doing and gave me words of encouragement. Plus, when I became irritable, They understood it was probably because I was coming off the nicotine.

Tip #4 Exercise – This made a huge difference. Start with a walk around the block after dinner. Then gradually step it up. Over time you will feel your body start to fix itself. The beginning will absolutely suck. But keep it up because you will feel the difference. Do as many walks each week as you can. This is a huge tip for this smoke remedy. Join a gym, walk, run, do so something that makes you breathe hard. If you want to live longer and you have been a long term smoker, you can “clean” your lungs by working them out. Do things that make you breathe harder and then after a few weeks without smoking and doing exercise you will definitely notice a increased lung capacity. This is very motivating.

Tip #5 – Use a Product to Help. I have tried many throughout. But I never followed through on any of them till I coupled the first 4 tips along with a smoke spray. The product that completed this smoke remedy process for me is Smoke Deter. This product helped reduce the cravings my body so badly needed. I tried the patch which made me sick and I had a skin reaction. I also tried acupressure but I didn’t continue because it really hurt allot. The fake cigarette was interesting, I did like having something in my mouth, but a toothpick will suffice. Everyone is different, you will have to try some products that you feel will best suit your personality and life style. What finally helped me was Smoke Deter, I had read some good reviews and I was able to feel like I did not need it after about 2 months.

What you do is not important. How you do, what you do, is important. The same rule is applicable to smoking also. There are many quit smoking programs available. Take any book on how to quit smoking and you get a number of tips on quitting smoking.

But your nicotine addiction knows them all. It knows that such tips are only the tip of the iceberg. Nicotine is like that mighty mass of ice below the ocean which you can not see with the naked eye. The challenge of nicotine is formidable. Yet, you can beat it and own the tile of ‘former smoker’.

For your benefit, some of the tips are given below:

Your will power gets the top priority. The fact is proved that nicotine addiction is 80 % psychological and 20 % physiological which means, your determination gets the first vote. If you doubt your own ability, how can you succeed? So, your decision to beat back the cravings needs to be strong and a determined one.

“An idle mind is devil’s workshop.” Isn’t it? When you sit idle, you feel like lighting up a cigarette. Take time for sports and physical activity. During physical activity, your blood will circulate more and the impurities in it are likely to find an outlet in the form of sweat. You breathe deeply when you exercise, which is good for the body.

Be away from the area of cigarette influence like smoking friends, smoking joints, clubs, parties and alike. If you are halfway through your quit smoking program, you need to be very strict in this regard. This is the transition period. Any latitude will work to your disadvantage. Plan your leisure time very well.

Whenever you feel like lighting a cigarette, do something else. Eat a biscuit or a sandwich. Drink some water. You can go on drinking water in small quantities throughout the day. This will help you a lot.

Advertise about your quit smoking program in an extensive manner. Let your friends know about it. Let them understand your aim. Tell them, that you are taking this step as per medical advise.

Your will power is your strongest point. Many a times, you quit smoking and restart the habit, but this time, you must win. Yes, it is your will power which is guiding you. Let your determination be more and more strong. On the physical front, do yoga and meditation. The power of mediation is so strong, all the negative tendencies, including the nicotine knot on you, will loosen.

Make a list of the reasons that have made you take the decision to quit smoking, in which there is bound to be a reference to some of the killing diseases. Read the list again and again. Human life is too precious to squander on the stubs and ash of cigarettes.

Ensure that your frame of mind is positive, positive and positive again!
